Questions families ask

When can I get Sidequest?

Sidequest is coming soon to the App Store, for iPhone and iPad. Leave your email in the box below and we’ll let you know when it’s out.

Is Sidequest more screen time?

Sidequest is built to get chores done in real life, not to hold a kid’s attention. Kids open it to check a chore off and see their XP. The chore itself happens away from the screen, and there are no ads.

What if my kid marks a chore done but didn’t do it?

You approve each one, and a kid can’t approve their own chores. Not done right? Send it back with a note for a redo.

Does my kid need their own iPhone or iPad?

No. No phone or iPad yet? Mark their chores done from yours. When they have one, pair it from your phone with a short code. A kid never needs an email or password.

Can another grown-up approve chores too?

With Sidequest Plus, you can invite up to 3 more grown-ups to set up and approve chores and rewards. On Free, only one grown-up can join your family.

How much does Sidequest cost?

Sidequest is free to download, with as many kids and chores as you want and up to 5 rewards in each monthly battle pass. Sidequest Plus is optional and gives you up to 200 rewards a battle pass, up to 4 grown-ups in all, repeating rewards, and custom achievements. New families are eligible for a one-month free trial, then $5.99 a month or $39.99 a year (US; prices vary by region). It renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before renewal in your Apple Account settings.

Can Sidequest replace an allowance?

It can work alongside one or instead of one. Rewards are whatever you choose: picking dinner, a day out, screen time, or pocket money you hand over yourself. Sidequest never moves money.

What happens to my family’s information?

Grown-ups sign in with Apple, and kids have no accounts. There are no ads, no tracking across other apps or sites, and we never sell your family’s information. The privacy policy says what we keep and how to delete it, and you can delete everything in the app.

Who made Sidequest?

Fletchwork, a studio in Florida. We built Sidequest for our own two kids. Our family has used it every day since late May 2026.
